Privacy Policy

Last updated: October 22, 2026

This policy explains how LiveSnow.ai handles information when you use the LiveSnow.ai website and progressive web app (“LiveSnow”).

Information LiveSnow uses

LiveSnow does not require an account and does not ask you to provide your name, email address, or precise device location to view forecasts. You choose a resort in the app; the selected resort may appear in the page URL and your browser history. LiveSnow saves your Simple or Advanced display preference in your browser’s local storage so it can remember that choice. You can clear this preference using your browser’s site-data controls.

When LiveSnow requests resort, forecast, or camera-list information, your browser sends the request to the LiveSnow service. As with ordinary web requests, the server and its hosting infrastructure may process technical information such as your IP address, request time, browser, and requested URL in operational logs. These logs are used to deliver, secure, and troubleshoot the service and are handled under the hosting provider’s operational practices.

Forecasts and location

LiveSnow uses the resort you select to request forecast and camera-list data. It does not access your device’s GPS or request location permission. Resort and forecast information is provided by the service and its data sources; it is not personal information about you.

Third-party services

LiveSnow loads the Chart.js chart library from jsDelivr to display forecast charts. If you view a resort camera, LiveSnow embeds a YouTube video. Those providers may receive technical information from your browser, such as your IP address and browser details, and may use their own cookies or similar technologies according to their policies. Their handling of information is governed by their own privacy notices. You can avoid YouTube’s embedded processing by not opening or viewing the camera section.

Cookies, storage, and offline support

The current LiveSnow app does not use its own advertising or cross-site tracking cookies. It uses browser local storage for the display preference and a service worker to cache the app’s static files (such as its scripts, styles, and icons) and an offline information page. Forecast and resort data are not made available offline by this cache. Third-party services embedded or loaded by the app may use their own storage technologies.

How information is used and shared

Technical request information is used to provide, maintain, secure, and troubleshoot LiveSnow. We do not operate an account system or sell personal information through the app. Information may be processed by service providers needed to host the site, serve its static resources, or provide embedded video and charts, as described above.

Children’s privacy

LiveSnow is a general-audience forecast service and is not directed to children under 13. It does not knowingly ask children to submit personal information.

Changes to this policy

This policy may be updated as LiveSnow’s features or data practices change. The “Last updated” date above indicates the latest revision. Please review this page from time to time.
